Heading to moms today!

I am looking forward to heading out this weekend over to my moms house to meet up with other family and friends that I have not seen in years as we all meet up to celebrate my moms birthday. Shopping for my mom is like try to shop for a millionaire that has everything they already want. So what I try to do is find something she can make or put together rather than just something she can set next to everything elswe she has.

Even still i think that I have gotten everything a older woman can assemble her self so i was wanting to poll the internet on what they think would be a great gift to a mother of 3 who is turning 70 today!!

It’s a southern thing

Yeah, my moms family is form the south, hence the name Betty Donna, it’s a southern thing. I hadn’t realized how much of a southern thing it was until I attended school up north, not many people had the two first name thing going on up there. So I stood out a bit, but I liked it, many people found my ways to be more comforting. Just because the real estate is more expensive, doesn’t mean them yankees have a monopoly on everything. Courtesy and manners go a long way, even in todays over connected 24 seven digital internet world.

Anyways, for all those people that asked, and the people who are wondering without asking, it’s something common in the south and it has deep meaning with close relatives.
